10 Chilled Tank-Fed Emergency Shower & Eyewash Enclosures for the Middle East

DAAO6604-8 | Temperature-Controlled Emergency Flushing for Hot-Climate Applications

DAO recently completed the production of 10 DAAO6604-8 Chilled Tank-Fed Emergency Shower & Eyewash Enclosures for delivery to the Middle East.
Each system integrates a 1500 L insulated water tank, emergency shower and eye/face wash, water circulation and dedicated chiller, providing a temperature-controlled emergency flushing solution for demanding industrial environments.

The Application Challenge: Emergency Flushing in Hot Climates

In hot climates, stored emergency flushing water presents an additional engineering challenge.
Prolonged exposure to high ambient temperatures can cause the temperature of water stored in tanks and piping to rise. While insulation helps reduce heat gain, insulation alone cannot actively remove heat that accumulates over time.
For emergency shower systems using stored water, active temperature management can therefore become an important part of the overall system design.

DAAO6604-8: Storage, Insulation and Active Cooling

The DAAO6604-8 addresses this challenge by combining water storage, thermal insulation, circulation and active cooling within one integrated emergency shower enclosure.
The 1500 L tank provides stored flushing water for emergency use. Insulation helps reduce heat transfer from the surrounding environment, while the circulation and chiller system actively remove accumulated heat from the stored water.
The system incorporates both emergency shower and eye/face wash functions, with rated flow performance of:
Shower: ≥75.7 L/min Eye/Face Wash: ≥11.4 L/min
The standard configuration is designed for hot-climate applications with ambient conditions up to 55°C, while system configuration can be adapted according to actual project conditions.

10 Complete Systems Produced as One Batch

For this Middle East order, 10 complete DAAO6604-8 systems were manufactured and assembled as one coordinated production batch.
Before shipment, key functions and components were inspected and verified, including the tank and piping system, shower and eye/face wash operation, water circulation, chiller operation, temperature-control system and electrical components.
The completed units were then prepared for overseas delivery.
This batch demonstrates DAO’s ability to supply not only individual emergency shower equipment, but also integrated temperature-controlled emergency flushing systems for project applications.
For hot-climate projects, system configuration can be evaluated according to maximum ambient temperature, installation environment, water supply, required flushing-water temperature, power supply, hazardous-area classification and project specifications.
