SPEC 1.0 System Description

Provide and install plumbed emergency safety shower and eye/face wash combination units in accordance with ANSI/ISEA Z358.1-2014, suitable for [PROCESS AREA] hazard classification, with tepid water supply.

SPEC 2.0 Compliance Requirements

All units shall comply with: – ANSI/ISEA Z358.1-2014 (Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment) – ASSE 1071 (Temperature actuated mixing valves) – Local AHJ requirements [INSERT REGIONAL CODE]

SPEC 3.0 Engineering Parameters

Shower: ≥ 75.7 L/min @ 30 psi flowing pressure. Eye/face wash: ≥ 11.4 L/min for 15 minutes continuous. Water temperature: 16-38 °C delivered. Activation: single-motion ≤ 1 s, stays-open valve.

SPEC 4.0 Installation Requirements

Locate within 10 seconds travel from hazard, same level, unobstructed. Mount per manufacturer drawing. Trace heat and insulate supply lines where ambient < 16 °C is possible. Provide drainage and illuminated identification signage.
