Description
Extreme-cold emergency safety system engineered for outdoor industrial environments down to –45°C.
Designed for extreme-cold and remote industrial environments, this self-contained emergency shower and eyewash enclosure integrates a 1500 L water storage tank, water heating, enclosure heating, pumping, temperature monitoring, lighting, and emergency alarm functions into one complete safety system.
The double-wall stainless steel enclosure with PUF thermal insulation helps protect the internal water tank, piping, valves, shower, and eyewash components from freezing. Combined water and enclosure heating maintains suitable operating conditions even in severe sub-zero environments.
The integrated pumping system supplies stored water to the emergency shower and eyewash, supporting a shower flow of ≥75 L/min and eyewash flow of ≥12 L/min. The system is designed to provide controlled emergency flushing where a reliable external tepid-water supply is unavailable or impractical.
Local water-level and temperature monitoring allows operators to verify system status, while shower and eyewash activation can be integrated with audible and visual alarms for immediate emergency notification.
Available in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, the system can be configured according to project ambient temperature, hazardous-area classification, electrical requirements, alarm interface, and site conditions.
- 01 — 1500L Self-Contained Water Supply
- Integrated water storage provides an independent flushing-water source for locations where continuous mains or tepid-water supply is limited or unavailable.
- 02 — Extreme-Cold Protection to –45°C
- Double-wall construction, PUF thermal insulation, water heating, and internal enclosure heating protect critical system components under severe sub-zero conditions.
- 03 — Controlled Emergency Flow
- An integrated pumping system provides the operating pressure and flow required for emergency shower and eyewash operation.
- 04 — Temperature & Level Monitoring
- Water temperature and tank level can be monitored locally to support routine inspection and ensure system readiness.
- 05 — Alarm & Safety Integration
- Shower and eyewash activation can trigger local audible and visual alarms, with remote signal interfaces available according to project requirements.
- 06 — Project-Specific Configuration
- Material grade, electrical equipment, hazardous-area protection, heating capacity, instrumentation, drainage, and alarm interfaces can be configured for specific project conditions
Typical Site Conditions
This system is particularly suitable for installations involving:
Continuous sub-zero outdoor operation
Extreme ambient temperatures down to –45°C
Remote locations with limited utility water infrastructure
Sites without a reliable external tepid-water supply
Chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, mining and energy facilities
Hazardous-area installations requiring project-specific electrical configurations
Engineering Configuration
The final system configuration should be selected according to actual site conditions. For engineering selection, simply provide:
Minimum Ambient Temperature · Hazardous Area Classification · Power Supply · Site Water Availability · Required Shower/Eyewash Configuration
