Tank-fed 316 outdoor booth for EAC and ANSI sites
A 900 mm indoor cubicle cannot serve a Russian tank farm, a polar loading rack, or a classified outdoor skid. This outdoor emergency safety shower booth is a walk-in 316 stainless enclosure, 2200 × 2800 × 2950 mm, with a 1000 litre stored-water tank and a 5 kW pump so the casualty is not hostage to a weak yard main. It is specified for cold-climate, outdoor, and hazardous-area plots, and it is built to the flush rates in ANSI Z358.1-2014 and EN 15154-1/2:2006. EAC and IEC paperwork can ship with the unit for Eurasian Customs Union projects. ODM and OEM layouts are welcome when the plot plan will not take the standard box.

Why a tank-fed 316 booth instead of a city-water cubicle
Three site facts drive this specification. First, flow. ANSI and EN both want at least 75.7 L/min at the rose and 11.4 L/min at the eye/face wash for a full 15 minutes. That is more than 1,100 litres if shower and eyewash run together, and still about 1,136 litres for the shower alone. A 1000 L tank plus a 5 kW pump is sized so a remote pad can finish a legal flush even if the plant header is down or the winter main is throttled. Second, alloy. 316 stainless is the default for chloride, coastal, and aggressive chemical yards; 304 is not enough when the client already writes 316 on the pipe spec. Walls are 2 mm. Process pipe is 2.5–3 mm, heavy enough to take outdoor abuse and repeated activations. Gross weight is about 1500 kg — this is a crane-set module, not a hand-carried frame. Third, paperwork. Russian and EAEU sites ask for EAC. Export electrical packages often ask for IEC. Both are available on this booth so the dossier matches the purchase order.
An emergency eyewash and shower station is first aid, not a hospital. The booth’s job is to put a large volume of flushing fluid on the body and both eyes within seconds, then keep that flow going while help arrives. The double doors, green safety pictograms, and interior volume (about 2.2 × 2.8 m on plan, 2.95 m high) give the casualty room to stand under the rose, use the eyewash, and remove contaminated clothing out of the wind.
Standards, EAC, and what the nameplate must show
ANSI/ISEA Z358.1-2014 sets the North American and many EPC minima: shower ≥ 75.7 L/min (20 gpm), eye/face wash ≥ 11.4 L/min (3.0 gpm), 15 minutes, stay-open valves, tepid fluid. EN 15154-1 covers body showers and EN 15154-2 covers eye units; this booth is listed to EN 15154-1/2:2006 as well. Working pressure on the data sheet is 0.2–0.6 MPa. Stay inside that band so the spray is effective and not injurious. Inlet is NPT 1-1/4 for make-up to the tank or a boosted feed. Drain is NPT 2 — larger than a compact cubicle — because a 75.7 L/min rose plus eyewash will flood a 1-1/4 drain. Pipe the 2 inch outlet to a chemical sewer or neutralization pit, not to storm water.
EAC is the Eurasian Conformity mark used for the Russian Federation and the wider EAEU. It is not a substitute for ANSI or EN performance; it is the market-access stamp buyers in that region put on the RFQ. Call it out on the quote together with the stainless grade, tank volume, and pump kW. IEC certificate availability covers the electrical build (pump starter, lighting, alarm) when the client’s specification is IEC rather than a local GOST-only pack. Hazardous-area extras — Ex glands, beacons, heaters — must follow the area classification drawing; the booth is suitable for hazardous plots only when the electrical bill of materials matches that drawing.
Temperature, “cold climate,” and the 10–35 °C line
The standard working-environment line is 10 °C to 35 °C. That is the unheated, untraced box. A product tagged “suitable for cold climates” still needs a frost package for a Siberian or steppe winter: tank insulation, heat tracing, space heater, and often a tempered-water valve so the flush is not ice-cold. Do not treat 10–35 °C as a −40 °C rating. Tell us the design winter dry-bulb and we will ODM the insulation thickness and heater kW. For desert yards the same 316 shell takes shade roofs and over-temperature interlocks so stored water does not cook.
What is inside the 2200 × 2800 × 2950 mm room
Functions are eye washing and body showering. The casualty steps through the double door, pulls the shower, and can use the eyewash without leaving the enclosure. 316 walls wipe down after a caustic or acid event. The 1000 L tank is the stored volume for the 15-minute duty; the 5 kW pump lifts that water to the rose and the eyewash at the rated pressure. Weekly test discharges should be made up through the 1-1/4 inlet so the tank is full at the start of every shift. Gross 1500 kg means a forklift or crane, chemical-resistant grout under the base frame, and a level plinth that can carry the wet weight as well as the dry module.
ODM and OEM are listed because almost no two Russian or Middle East plots use the same door hand, alarm voltage, or tank location. Factory pressure test values should be taken from the inspection and test plan on the order, not from a blank “0 MPa” field on a web form. Ask for the hydrostatic test certificate with the GA drawing.
Siting on a Russian or outdoor hazardous plot
Set the module on a drained, level foundation within a 10-second travel of the splash hazard, on a path that is not blocked by snow berms or parked trucks. Keep the green shower pictograms readable from the process aisle. Bond the 316 structure to the site earthing grid. Treat the 1000 L inventory as process water: sample it, prevent stagnation, and protect it from freezing or overheating. After every use or weekly test, refill and confirm the 5 kW pump starts on the next pull. For indoor, mains-fed plants without a tank requirement, a smaller combination shower and eye wash is the cheaper compliant choice.
Questions buyers ask before the PO
Is 1000 L enough for 15 minutes?
The shower minimum is 75.7 L/min × 15 min ≈ 1,136 L if the rose runs alone at the ANSI floor. Real roses and simultaneous eyewash can differ. We size the 1000 L tank plus make-up, or we upsize the tank on ODM, so the tested 15-minute volume is on the nameplate. Do not assume the catalog litre figure without a flow test on your nozzle set.
Why 316, not 304?
316 is the outdoor and chloride default for this booth. If the client allows 304 inland, say so on the inquiry; the standard build is 316, 2 mm wall, 2.5–3 mm pipe.
Does EAC mean it is only for Russia?
No. EAC opens EAEU customs. The same 316 tank booth is used in the Middle East, Central Asia, and any outdoor plant that wants stored water and a walk-in room. ANSI and EN remain the performance standards.
Will it run at −20 °C as shipped?
Not on the 10–35 °C standard line. Order the cold-climate package: insulation, tracing, and heater, plus a tepid-water design if the standard requires it.

A large outdoor booth is only a safety device if the tank is full, the pump is live, and the drain is open. Specify 316, 1000 L, 5 kW, and the right certificates, then test it every week.
